Butter Pretzels




It's pool season which means that I need to keep a supply of healthy snacks that we can take to the pool in the house.  These butter crunch pretzels make great pool snacks.




Butter Crunch Pretzels
16 cups small pretzel twists            1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter                                     ¼ cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon butter-nut flavoring        ½ teaspoon baking soda
Place pretzels in large baking pan.






Butter sides of saucepan.  Combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.  Cook on medium without stirring – 5 minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in flavoring and baking soda.


Pour over pretzels and bake 1 hour at 200.  Stir every 15 minutes.


Cool on greased foil.
